For the past 26 years the AFA has concerned itself primarily with dealing only with the organizations promoting themselves on the semi-pro (adult amateur) level. By adding 6-7-8-and 9 man team outdoor football leagues to the mix, the AFA national association is starting to take on the appearance of a national AAU type organization for the sport of football. Most semi-pro teams are well aware of Sadler & Company’s excellent reputation for handling adult and youth amateur football organization’s liability insurance needs.
AFA national office is encouraging semi-pro teams to check the expiration deadline date on their current liability policy. Renewals are not automatic and before Sadler can write the policy or provide a ‘certificate of insurance’ the teams must prove they are members-in-good-standing with the American Football Association for the 2006 season. AFA memberships are $100 per team, per year, based on a calendar year (Jan.1 thru Dec. 31). Need to be included in the AFAs liability insurance program?
Debbie at Sadler (Sports Department) Insurance 800-622-7370,ANOTHER AFA MEMBER TEAM BENEFIT:The American Football Association has partnered with the Wilson Sporting Goods Company in a special fund-raising program to make available Wilson NFL (’blem’) game balls at reduced prices. Through this agreement the AFA is offering official NFL blem balls for only $35 per ball (plus S&H) when purchased in 6 pacs. Most semi-pro football leagues mandate the use of Wilson NFL game balls for league play. AFA member teams are ordering these ‘blems’ to help reduce their equipment budgets for the year.
