AFA Opens Team Membership Program to Community and Recreational Adult Amateur Football Organizations Nationwide

ContentDesk) March 30, 2006 -- It wasn't only the semi-pro football level of the sport that "took a hit" nearly a year ago when the insurance industry pulled the 'turf' out from under the adult amateur (semi-pro) tackle football organizations across the country -- by announcing it would limit issuing General Liability Insurance policies for that level of the sport.

American Football Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and had a national team and league liability insurance policy in place for years through Sadler & Company, a major insurance carrier agreed to continue writing the AFA spectator liability coverage. This means, any adult amateur football team that qualifies for AFA Membership also qualifies to participate in the national associations $1,000,000 General Liability Insurance policy coverage.
