Smart Vent inc. has announced that it has assigned a direct factory representative for the following Maryland counties; Annarundel, Baltimore, and Queen Anne’s. Mr. Jon Kramer will be responsible for assisting and educating Architects, Contractors, Surveyors and homeowners in the use and installation of foundation flood vents. In the wake of recent weather related tragedies, the building inspectors and code officials in Maryland are enforcing the new ICC building codes, and Jon is certified to explain the differences as they relate to flood vents. Jon was born and raised in Annapolis, MD. He currently resides on Maryland’s Eastern Shore with his wife and two children. Jon attended Annapolis High School and the University of Maryland, where he played lacrosse. He still has a strong interest in lacrosse being a member of US lacrosse youth committee and coaching youth league football and lacrosse for more than ten years .Jon believes that his lifetime participation in sports has provided him the motivation and skills needed to succeed in business and sales. Jon has been in the giftware and collectibles business for 14 years, being a national leader in sales for the nations largest collectible manufacturer. In addition Jon is a partner in a residential marine construction business with a lacrosse teammate from high school. Also Jon is a licensed real estate appraiser, and holds a real estate sales license. Jon’s enthusiasm and experience in sales, construction, and real estate make him a valuable new addition to the Smart Vent team. Jon is certified to present Smart Vent’s “lunch and learn” training session. The objective is to explain foundation flood vent codes and the rules that govern them. This one hour AIA presentation is free and offers Architects and professionals a one-hour CES credit.
