As well as founder and president of MYIA, Inc. (Multicultural Youth-In-Action), a nonprofit community organization, she is a public speaker; national sports awardee, and champion of youth causes. In acknowledgement of her numerous accomplishments contributions and the goals her company strives to reach, TPC Foundation, Inc. selected Myia to be named 2006 Emerging Living History Maker.
